The promotional content of the movie Arjun Chakravarthy, starring Vijayarama Raju as the hero, has attracted a lot of attention from the audience. Although there have already been a few movies based on Kabaddi, this movie, inspired by real-life events, has gained a special place. With the interest in the movie aroused through the promotional content, the movie finally hit the screens on August 29. Let’s see how the movie is and how much it impressed the audience in this review.
Story:
Arjun Chakravarthy (Vijayaramaraju) is an orphan. Rangayya (Dayananda Reddy) sees him making a living by collecting bottles as a child and adopts him. Rangayya, who is a Kabaddi player himself, is removed from the team due to his anger. While teaching Kabaddi to the children of the village, Arjun also gets interested in this game. Due to this, he is selected for the national team. However, Arjun becomes mentally depressed and becomes addicted to drinking after not getting the girl he loves (Sija Rose). Even Rangayya is unable to change him. At this time, Kulkarni (Ajay) tries to lead him back towards Kabaddi. Has Arjun, who once excelled in Kabaddi, come back to the game? What happened to his love story? To know the answers to these questions, you have to watch the movie on the big screen.
Actors:
Vijayaramaraju has acted wonderfully in the title role. The physical and mental transformation (body & face transformation) he has shown for this movie is astonishing. The way he has carried the entire movie on his shoulders is commendable. Dayananda Reddy has impressed with his wonderful performance in the role of Rangayya. Especially in the scene where he has to act as a corpse, his performance is extraordinary. Ajay has given a memorable performance even in a small role. The rest of the actors have done justice to their roles.
Technical aspects:
Technically, the locations have been chosen wonderfully. The cinematography and background music have added strength to the movie. Producer Striini proved his passion with his first film.
Movie Analysis:
This film, inspired by real-life events, is set in an impressive Kabaddi backdrop. Sports drama films are rare in Telugu, and those that do come are well received by the audience. This film also joins that list. The director has written the story in a way that cultivates emotions without going into depth. However, due to the non-linear screenplay, some scenes may seem confusing. The scenes where Arjun takes steps towards the game of Kabaddi are attractive. The plot of a young man who collects garbage and rises to the national level with the help of Rangayya, a Kabaddi player, is good. Elements like love and the failure of that love add emotional strength to the story. Although the story feels a bit faltering at some places, overall the film provides a good experience to the audience.
Summary:
Arjun Chakravarthy is an inspiring film. A film that makes the audience leave the theater satisfied.
Rating : 3/5
