The Women Ayurveda Parishad Conference–2026 (WAPCON–2026) held in Visakhapatnam has gained special recognition as the first National Women Ayurveda Parishad Conference in the country. The conference, held with the theme “Swastha Nari – Shashakta Bharat” with the support of the Ministry of AYUSH, gave the message that a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong family, a stable society and a powerful nation. In this conference, experts discussed the multifaceted role of women, leadership, as well as the special health challenges they face (hormonal, mental health, etc.). Medical experts are of the opinion that if women’s health improves, the well-being of future generations, the educational progress of children, the economic stability of families, and social security will all be strengthened sustainably. The conference made it clear that equality, justice, and development in society will stand firm only when policies that prioritize women’s health are adopted. Ayurvedic medical experts, faculty members, students, and policy makers from all over the country participated in WAPCON–2026.
There were wide-ranging discussions on issues such as ways to reduce health barriers faced by women, preventive care, and ways to integrate traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern medical practices. Through these discussions, WAPCON–2026 brought forward the goal of further strengthening the role of Ayurveda in building a healthy, equitable, and empowered India.
Dr. Ramakrishna, Chairman, Fortune Hospitality and Infrastructure, attended the conference as the Guest of Honor and shared his views on the global Ayurvedic-beauty industry. He said that more than 60 percent of the world’s herbal raw material is exported from India. Dr. said that Indian Ayurvedic knowledge, South Korean innovation, Thailand’s sustainable manufacturing, and Asia’s rich medicinal plant wealth—all of these, combined with modern science, clinically proven methods, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging quantum technologies, will completely transform the global beauty industry in the coming decades. Ramakrishna said.
He expressed confidence that entrepreneurs who are investing now in natural, Ayurvedic-based beauty products will not only make good profits in the future, but will also contribute to building a healthy and sustainable society. It was felt that the goal of “Swastha Nari – Shashakta Bharat” will get further momentum with the increased awareness on women’s health, Ayurveda and sustainable beauty sectors through platforms like WAPCON–2026.
