Varun Tej from Mega Family is acting in the movie ‘Operation Valentine’. After ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’, he did not get proper success. The films ‘F2’ and ‘F3’ with Venkatesh were successful but the films ‘Gani, Gandhivadhari Arjuna’ which came in between were disappointing. Meanwhile, ‘Operation Valentine’ is the focus of everyone’s attention as it is a movie coming after his marriage with Lavanya Tripathi. Varun Tej, who played an army jawan in his second movie ‘Kanche’, plays an air wing commander in this latest film. Ad filmmaker Shakti Pratap Singh’s ‘Operation Valentine’ released in Hindi and Telugu on March 1st.

On February 14, 2019, Pakistan-inspired terrorists attacked Pulwama in Kashmir, killing 40 Indian soldiers. Twelve days after this, on February 26, the Indian Air Force attacked and destroyed the training camps of terrorist organizations in Balkot, Pakistan. Now ‘Operation Valentine’ has opened with the same plot.

Bollywood actress Manish Chhillar has acted alongside Varun Tej in this movie and some other big casts have acted. Although the director Shakti Pratap Singh has made this movie based on real events, he has created this movie with his own creativity to some extent.

Coming to the story… Arjun Dev, who is working as Air Force Wing Commander of our country, will conduct a mission test trail called Vajra under his leadership. Arjun’s mistake in it results in the death of his friend, Kabir from the Air Force. With that, Vajra Mission is stopped by Radar Controller Ahana Gill. Some time after this, Pulwama in Kashmir will be attacked. Arjun also joins the selected Air Force team to take revenge. Already he survives the injuries of Vajra damage. The reason for the failure of the Vajra operation, Arjun, who is angry with Pakistan… has he succeeded in the air surgical strike on Pakistan this time? Did he listen to his superiors this time? What are the obstacles faced by him in this operation? This is the ‘Operation Valentine’ movie. But… how did Pakistan react after the air surgical strike? is a movie.

It doesn’t seem fair to find fault with films that naturally inspire patriotism. Soldiers who have risked their lives for the country, should be inspired or delighted to see their heroic stories on the silver screen. But if they are popularized, there is a chance to reach more people. Keeping in view the commercial, some directors and producers keep adding unnecessary comedy, songs and scenes which are not necessary for some scenes. But luckily there is no place for such things in this movie. But it seems that the director Shakti Pratap Singh has not been able to show the story that he wanted to tell in an impressive way. Especially the first half was poor and the story felt a bit slow. Compared to that, the second half was much better. Events like Pulwama that rocked the country should have been made more touching. The director hesitated in cultivating the emotion scenes and melodrama to the fullest extent.

The audience has a clarity about what the plot of the movie ‘Operation Valentine’ is and how it is going to be. For those who came to the theaters with that mind set, this movie seems to be good. Otherwise, those expecting heroic fight scenes will be somewhat disappointed. Even though this is the director’s first film…he managed to get good performances from the lead cast. Especially, Varun Tej is in the role of Wing Commander Arjun Dev. This may be his best Bollywood entry. Manushi Chillar, who entered Tollywood with this film, also acted well. Navdeep’s character seems to be a little too much. Other roles were played by Ruhani Sharma, Mir Sarwar, Sampath Raj, Abhinav Gomatham, Paresh Pahuja, Ali Raza and others. The film has dialogues by Burra Saimadhav and background music by Mickey Jay Meyer.

Cinematography of Hari K Vedantam is good. Vande Mataram song gives goose bumps.

Apart from the success of the film ‘Operation Valentine’, it gives Varun Tej a good recognition as an actor. The cast brings dignity to it all. Sony Pictures should be congratulated for showing a good subject to the audience.

Operation Valentine… The first half may be a bit slow but the second half is great.
