Legendary Poet Gaddar’s Last Film ‘Ukku Satyagraham’ Hitting Screens on November 29

The final film of revolutionary poet and activist Gaddar, Ukku Satyagraham, is set to release on November 29. Directed and produced by Janam Star P. Satya Reddy under Janam Entertainments, the film is a powerful depiction of the people’s struggle against the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, encapsulated by the slogan, Visakha Ukku Telugu Vari Hakkam.

Gaddar, renowned for his activism and inspiring poetry, contributed significantly to the film. He sang three songs, performed in two, and acted in key message-driven scenes. With lyrics penned by celebrated writers Goreti Venkanna and Suddala Ashok Teja, and music composed by Srikoti, the film promises to be both emotionally stirring and thought-provoking.

During the film’s press meet about the release date announcement, Director Satya Reddy described the film as a “movement film” deeply rooted in real-life struggles. “The character Gaddar garu plays was crafted keeping in mind activists like Lakshmi Narayana garu and others who have fought for justice. I hope the film becomes a big hit,” he said.

Former CBI Joint Director VV Lakshmi Narayana praised the film’s portrayal of the steel plant’s privatization issues. “I have seen some scenes and this film is inspiring. Watching this film, I feel like we should also be a part of this process. It is a good thing that Gaddar garu is also acting in this film. He used to greet me as Lachchanna Etlunnav. This is a film in which he himself acted. He has infused his inspiration into this film. I hope that this film will be a huge success. My congratulations also to the director of this film,” he said.

Gaddar’s daughter Vennela said, “Today I have come here to be a part of the release date announcement press meet. Gaddaranna used to leave Hyderabad for Visakhapatnam and then return home. He spent a lot of time for this movie. His intention was that the steel plant should not be privatized. Gaddar made this movie for those who shed their blood and developed the steel plant. It is not as if he acted in this movie, it is as if he lived. I wish this movie a big success.”
