Suriya and Jyotika are now a well-established power couple. Suriya and Jyothika are undoubtedly one of the most loved couples in the Indian film industry right now. As many already know, Suriya Jyothika first met in 1999 on the sets of the Tamil film Poovellam Kettuppar. Suriya has already done some films. But this is one of Jyothika’s first Tamil movies. This made it difficult for her to adjust. Originally hailing from Mumbai, Jyotika speaks Hindi and it is difficult to make out the Tamil dialogues. But Suriya played a vital role in making Jyothika comfortable.
Impressed by her efforts to learn the Tamil language, Suriya slowly begins to develop feelings for her. Soon, both Suriya and Jyothika rose to great heights in their careers. In 2003 Suriya and Jyothika acted in Kakha Kakha directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. It is believed that the couple started dating during the filming of Kakha Kakha. Since then the couple has worked together in other films like Silnu Oru Kaadal, Peralagan, Mayavi etc.
Although the relationship between Suriya and Jyotika is beautiful, it does not go smoothly due to external reasons. It has been reported on several occasions that Suriya’s father Shivakumar initially objected to their marriage due to differences on religious grounds. But then Sivakumar agreed to their union. On September 11, 2006, Suriya and Jyothika got married in Chennai in the presence of many celebrities.
But now Suriya and Jyotika have two children. Daughter Diya, son Dev. Recently, due to some tension between Suriya and his father, Jyothika moves to Mumbai with her children and tries to bring them up in a friendly environment. All is well between Suriya and Jyotika, who have been very public since then.
